Are you hopelessly addicted to Starbucks? Do you look forward to pulling in the Starbucks driveway just so you can have a Venti Caramel Frappuccino? You are not alone! There are a lot of us going broke just have this company make us a cup of coffee! That green mermaid logo cup of joe is not cheap. I don’t know how it happened to me. For years, I only made coffee at home or drank whatever was brewed at work. I think it was a road trip. A long 19-hour drive to my sister’s house in Iowa. After a while, the truck stop coffee starts to taste burnt. It started as a game.

“Let’s find the closest Starbucks! Download the app. Oh, we get free drinks, the more we buy.”

The next thing I know, I am visiting a Starbucks location every day. Seriously. I am stuck in the long drive-thru line every day. Grumbling, because it takes forever. And I tried to go to other coffee shops but it just doesn’t taste the same.

Well, if you can relate and you are truly addicted to Starbucks, there is a company that wants to pay you $1000.

A website called Business.org is an advocate for local business. Their goal is to help small businesses thrive and survive! The way they want to make this happen is by helping more people shop local business. More customers equal more money which of course can ultimately lead to survival. So this company has decided to tackle coffee shops. Starbucks has been dominating the gourmet coffee market for years. A mom-and-pop coffee shop does not stand a chance.

So Business.org is looking for a true Starbucks addict. If you can restrain yourself from going to Starbucks for an entire month, this company is willing to pay you a thousand bucks. So instead of Starbucks, you will visit local coffee shops and keep track of your visits. They want to take photos, talk up their service and make comparisons. You will have to compare the prices and service. You will use social media to express why one coffee shop is better than the other. This company is hoping your experience will encourage other people to shop local. You have until the end of this month to apply.
