Ready, Set, Action Is Coming To New Iberia

Hollywood is coming to New Iberia this week as Lifetime Network is set to start filming a Christmas movie according to The Advocate.

The casting call went out this week for movie extras and laborers wanting to work on the set of the movie. The working title of the movie is Christmas on the River.

The film will feature the Jana Kramer,  Percy Daggs III, and Barry Bostwick. The film’s producer is Daniel Lewis.

The plot of the Lifetime Movie focuses on love, romance and returning home to New Iberia. The movie is also set around the holidays and also features a Suger Cane Festival. It will be shot almost entirely in New Iberia and along the Bayou Teche.

Payments for extras vary depending on the role and the amount of screen time.

The movie is definitely mostly Louisiana project as the screenplay writers are from Lake Charles and Baton Rouge.

The filming of the Lifetime Movie will also serve as a boost to the local economy with as many of 60 people from the cast and film crew will be spending the night in New Iberia and enjoying our Cajun food and hospitality.

Lifetime will start to air Christmas Movies beginning October 25th through Christmas Day.
