Amazon Unveils Their New Delivery Drone

Amazon makes life easy for someone who needs things fast. Like REALLY fast. And that works out for people like me, who have very little time to actually shop for things – and certainly do not plan far enough ahead to order things! I’m so spoiled to Prime 2-day shipping I don’t know how I lived without it before… and now Amazon is taking it to the next level…

They’ve actually been toying with this idea for some time, but it’s finally only moments away from becoming the next thing we can’t live without – drone delivery. Earlier this week at their conference in Vegas, they unveiled the drone they’re going to use to start making deliveries  – the Prime Air delivery drone.

The drones are reportedly very quiet, and can detect people, animals, or other things that might get in the way while descending. The goal is to use them to deliver items that weigh five pounds or less in roughly 30 minutes, a service that could be offered for select Prime members in just a matter of months. They’ve already started using them in the UK, and have approval to test them in the US.
