Governor John Bel Edwards and the Louisiana Department of Health announced the first two winners of the Shot At A Million Vaccine Incentive Program. This program awards prizes of money and scholarships to individuals who have received the COVID vaccine.
The winner of the first round of $100,000 is 80-year-old New Orleans resident, Clement Dasalla and the winner of the scholarship money is Skyla Degrasse, a 17 year student from Hammond. There will a total of four prizes of $100,000 given away and nine $100,000 scholarships awarded.
There is still time to qualify to win a Shot at A Million. Louisiana residents can enter to win after getting the first vaccine shot.
Louisiana will hold three more weekly drawings:
- Enter by July 16, 2021 by 11:59:59 p.m. CDT for the July 21 drawing
- Enter by July 23, 2021 by 11:59:59 p.m. CDT for the July 28 drawing
- Enter by July 30, 2021 by 11:59:59 p.m. CDT for the August 4 drawing
- Enter by July 31, 2021 by 11:59:59 p.m. CDT for the August 6 grand prize drawing
The Louisiana Lottery Corporation is conducting the weekly drawings.
