Sandbags Available in Acadiana

Sandbags are available around Acadiana ahead of Hurricane Delta. Now is the time to prepare. Here is a list of sandbag locations:

Lafayette
· North District site at 400 N Dugas Road (located off North University Avenue)
· South District site at 1017 Fortune Road in Youngsville.
*Both sites are open during daylight hours.
Self-bagging – residents must bring their own shovel and manpower.
𝗕𝗮𝗴𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱
· Please limit sandbags to four bags per exterior door.
· Maximum of 20 sandbags per household.
· After initial use, store sandbags away from direct sunlight for use throughout the storm season.

Broussard
• Behind Broussard City Hall – 310 E. Main St.
• Deer Meadow Subdivision – corner of Deer Meadow Blvd. and Myette Point St.
• Broadview Dr. – by the Broussard Community Center
These sandbag stations are self-bagging and are open until the threat of heavy rain has passed. While the sand and sandbags are a free service, residents will need to supply their own shovel.

Carencro
· Community Center, 5115 N. University Avenue
*Sand and bags are located behind the Community Center.
Proof of residency required
Self-bagging – residents must bring their own shovel and manpower.

Duson
· Call Duson Town Hall at (337) 873-6754.
Scott
· Public Works Department, 116 Lions Club Road
Sandbags available after noon on Tuesday, October 6

Youngsville
· Foster Park at 399 2nd Street in Youngsville
*Self-bagging – residents must bring their own shovel and manpower

St. Martin Parish
Wednesday – 8:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
Thursday – 8:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
Friday – TBD

Thursday – 8:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m.

Across the road from the Belle River Fire Station

Breaux Bridge
Wednesday – 8:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
Thursday – 8:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
