The Rolling Stones – Black and Blue

Black and Blue marked the 13th British and 15th American album by the Rolling Stones. Black and Blue was released in 1976 and showcased the skills of guitarist Ronnie Wood who replaced Mick Taylor in the band. Black and Blue incorporated many different styles of music including traditional rock and roll, reggae, and funk. Black and Blue features hit singles such as: “Hot Stuff,” “Memory Motel,” “Hey Negrita,” and “Fool to Cry.”

The Rolling Stones – Aftermath

Aftermath was released in 1966 as the 4th British and 6th American album by the band the Rolling Stones, and is largely considered an artistic breakthrough for the band as a whole. The album showcases many instruments not usually associated with the Stones or rock music in general which included the sitar, Appalachian dulcimer, marimbas, and a Japanese koto. Aftermath includes hit singles such as: “Mother’s Little Helper,” “Stupid Girl,” “Lady Jane,” “Under My Thumb,” “Going Home,” “Out of Time,” “I Am Waiting,” and “Think.”
