Lynyrd Skynyrd – Pronounced ‘Lĕh-‘nérd ‘Skin-‘nérd

Pronounced ‘Lĕh-‘nérd ‘Skin-‘nérd  is Lynyrd Skynyrd’s debut album released in 1973. Upon release the album launched the band’s commercial success worldwide and was extremely well received. By 1987 the album would be certified double platinum by the RIAA in the US and the re-release of the album in 2001 generated over 2 million unit sales worldwide. Pronounced ‘Lĕh-‘nérd ‘Skin-‘nérd features some of the bands most notable songs including: “Tuesday’s Gone,” “Gimmie Three Steps,” “Simple Man,” “Things Goin’ On,” and “Free Bird.”

the Allman Brothers Band – Brothers and Sisters

The fourth studio album by the Allman Brothers Band, Brothers and Sisters was released in 1973. The album was the last album to feature bassist Berry Oakley who lost his life in a motorcycle accident much like the band’s group leader Duane Allman in the previous year. Brothers and Sisters is largely considered the commercial peak of the band and the album would sell over seven million copies worldwide. The album would be certified platinum in the US and showcases a host of hits such as: “Ramblin’ Man,” “Jelly Jelly,” “Southbound,” and “Jessica.”
