Billy Joel – An Innocent Man

Billy Joel’s ninth studio album An Innocent Man was released in 1983. Joel wanted the album to be a concept-album in which he pays homage to the music of his adolescence. An Innocent Man hosts a number of popular American musical styles such as doo-wop and soul music. An Innocent Man was nominated for the 26th Grammy Award for Album of the Year but ultimately lost to Michael Jackson’s ThrillerAn Innocent Man showcases a handful of hits such as: “An Innocent Man,” “The Longest Time,” “This Night,” “Tell Her About It,” “Uptown Girl,” “Leave a Tender Moment Alone,” and “Keeping the Faith.”

Kenny Loggins – Keep the Fire

Keep the Fire was Loggins’ third studio album as a solo act after the disbanding of Loggins & Messina. Keep the Fire showcases the performances of Michael McDonald and Michael Jackson  on “This is It” and “Who’s Right, Who’s Wrong” respectively.  Keep the Fire has a modest selection of singles including: “This is It,” “Who’s Right, Who’s Wrong,” and “Keep the Fire.”
