The Legendary Accordion maker, Randy Falcon passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020. He was 69. According to a report, he died from complications of ALS also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Reportedly, he was diagnosed with ALS a year ago. After the diagnosis, he decided to retire and leave his accordion-making business to his apprentice, Rusty Sanner.
Randy Falcon grew up in Crowley. He started making accordions 25 years ago. He is well known for patenting the double row accordion. He got the idea for the unique design after watching Wayne Toups perform. Throughout his life, he built over 500 accordions. Randy Falcon was also a school teacher and a mechanic.
