The Christmas season is here! Join the celebration in downtown Lafayette this weekend. The 4th annual Merry & Bright Holiday Series will feature several family friendly events, produced by Downtown Lafayette Unlimited.
Things get underway Friday with the Lighting of the Tree Concert. The free event will be in Parc International, from 5 – 8pm, featuring live music from Chubby Carrier & the Bayou Swamp Band, and the tree lighting ceremony. Concessions will be available on site. Please leave pets & ice chests at home.
The Sonic Christmas Parade will roll Sunday afternoon at 1:00. It will roll from the Jefferson Street underpass toward Johnston Street, ending in the Oil Center.
The Christmas Carnival immediately follows the parade in Parc International with multiple activities. They include a petting zoo, pony rides, photos with Santa, fun jumps and more.
