It’s King Cake & Crawfish season. I have been news. Crawfish prices will be unusually high this year. If you recall, we had an extended draught in 2023. Bad news if you love mudbugs. Area crawfish famers are saying this is the worst they’ve seen in 20 years. Demand is high. Supply is low. You know what that means. One Acadiana crawfish famer says he fished 3200 traps for a week, only yielding 21 pounds. Don’t blame me. I’m just the messenger.
