Lafayette firefighters were on the scene on Monday afternoon, battling a grease fire at Pete’s on Johnston.
Smoke and flames shot up into the air from the building not long after the blaze broke out.
Per a spokesman with the Lafayette Fire Department, the fire began in an area where grease is housed and it quickly spread to the attic of the building.
The spokesman went on to say that there were no injuries. However, the restaurant’s interior was damaged in the fire
