Jazzland / Six Flags New Orleans has been abandoned since Hurricane Katrina devastated much of the Crescent City in 2005. If all goes to plan, the site will be redeveloped as a youth sports complex. Bayou Phoenix Development has unveiled its master plan for revitalizing the 227-acre site.

The redevelopment plan includes 8 basketball courts, multiple sports fields, a waterpark, restaurants, and shopping. The project is expected to take 3 – 1/2 years at a cost of about 500 million dollars.
