After an 18-wheeler hit the Interstate 10 overpass, both I-10 and I-49 are closed per a release from the Department of Transportation.
The following areas are currently closed.
- Interstate 10 in the eastbound direction, at Interstate 49, is closed
- The two inside lanes of Interstate 49 in the northbound direction, under the Interstate 10 overpass, are closed
- Exit 1A to access I-10 eastbound is closed
Be advised that you can use the following alternate along I-10 eastbound prior to U.S. 165, La. 26, La. 13, and La. 182.
